The Department of Water, Atmosphere and Environment, Institute of Hydrobiology and Aquatic Ecosystem Management is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate.

Extent of employment: 20 hours per week

Duration of employment: as of now, limited to 31st of October 2030

Workplace: Vienna

Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year): B1 lit. b, € 2.376,20

 

Responsibilities

Development of interdisciplinary projects in the field of ecosystem research, aqutic ecosystem monitoring and ecosystem management

Coordination of international collaboration in the field of water research

Coordination of interdisciplinary research groups nationally and internationally

Realisation of excellent aquatic ecosystem research with a focus on biodiversity research and/or aquatic biogeochemistry

Teaching in the field of aquatic ecology in German and English

Required skills and qualifications

Doctorate degree / PhD aquatic ecology or related fields

Language skills: German, English

Proven experience in the coordination of international research co-operations

Excellent publication record in aquatic ecology

Desired skills and qualifications

Experience in acquiring scientific projects

Experience with the use of research infrastructures

Experience in university teaching
