A Research Technical Assistant position in Dimitris Tsiantoulas lab at the Medical University of Vienna is available.

We are looking for a highly motivated Research Technical Assistant to join our lab and contribute to our research projects, and assume lab management tasks. We are an international research team that studies the function of the immune system in cardiovascular diseases. We utilize several techniques such as flow cytometry, RNA-sequencing, immunohistochemistry and microscopy. In addition, our lab has great expertise in conducting in vivo studies by employing genetically modified mice. This offers the great opportunity to learn and apply many different experimental approaches and contribute to the dissection of the molecular machinery that drives inflammation in cardiovascular disease, which is the main cause of death globally.

The Applicant

The successful applicant should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in life sciences/ biochemistry/bioengineering or related fields, excellent organizational skills, a good level of written and spoken English, and preferentially previous experience in a research laboratory. Experience in histology and animal research are an advantage.
