European Partnership OHAMR Launches First Call for Research on Antimicrobial Resistance

The new European Partnership One Health Antimicrobial Resistance (EP OHAMR) is committed to finding innovative ways to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The first call for proposals for this joint research program between the European Commission and the member states is scheduled to open in late 2025.

Interdisciplinary research to develop new approaches to monitoring, diagnosing, treating, and preventing antimicrobial resistance: OHAMR has been identified by the European Commission as one of the key partnerships under the Horizon Europe program to support research and innovation to address the challenges in this field.

The “One Health” approach: Working together against resistant pathogens

The partnership is based on the “One Health” approach, which emphasizes the close connection between humans, animals, and the environment. Resistant infections pose a global threat, which this partnership aims to counter by funding targeted research projects.
