Best wishes from the FWF for 2023

Dear researchers and friends of research,

When we asked cartoonist Gerhard Haderer if he would like to take up his pen for science and for you, he didn’t hesitate for a moment. And here is the result: We hope his drawing brings a smile to your face at the closing of another very challenging year.

We would like to thank you all for your curiosity and your contributions to scientific progress. To everyone whose ideas we supported with FWF funding in 2022, we’ll keep our fingers crossed for the success of your research work. To those of you whose applications the FWF was unable to approve due to budgetary limitations, we wish you the best of luck for your future projects.
