Citizen Science Workshop
Together with the Österreich forscht (Austria Researches) platform, the FWF will host a Citizen Science-Workshop for researchers interested in incorporating citizen science (CS) into their research work. The event is also designed for researchers who would like to submit a proposal to the FWF for a Top Citizen Science (TCS) expansion project.
Citizen science generally refers to the active participation of citizens in scientific projects. This participation can take many different forms and occur at different stages of the research process.
The workshop is intended to provide an overview of the topic of citizen science and to present the TCS call for proposals that is currently open. The day will comprise a mix of theoretical and practical aspects, and there will definitely be plenty of time for discussions and questions. The aim of the workshop is to provide researchers with professional support in implementing citizen science (CS).
Speakers: Daniel Dörler (BOKU, Citizen Science Network Austria and Plattform Österreich forscht), Florian Heigl (BOKU, Citizen Science Network Austria and Plattform Österreich forscht) and Gerit Oberraufner (FWF)
