The Urological Research Team of the Spinal Cord Injury and Tissue Regeneration Center Salzburg (SCI-TReCS) at the Paracelsus Medical University (PMU) is offering a fully Wings for Life funded PhD position in neuro-urological research within the PMU PhD program. More information available on the following webpage: https://www.pmu.ac.at/en/medicalsciencephd.html.

SCI-TReCS was founded in 2011 with the aim to investigate regenerative mechanisms in the field of spinal cord injury. The Urological research team focusses primarily on functional and structural changes of the urinary bladder after a spinal cord injury and to develop therapies to treat neurogenic bladder dysfunctions. Synergistic effects on spinal cord regeneration and other therapy based effects are also assessed in close collaboration with other intramural and external research partners.

The PMU offers a cutting-edge microscopy facility and well-equipped research laboratories. The Neuro-Urology/SCI-TReCS offers a high-end recording station for functional bladder analysis and access to an organ bath.
