In the group of Prof. Christian Kowol at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Vienna (https://anorg-chemie.univie.ac.at/research/bioinorganic-chemistry/group-christian-kowol/), a PhD position is available from November 1st, 2020. The project will be carried out as part of the “Translational Cancer Therapy Research” research cluster in close cooperation with the Institute for Cancer Research at the Medical University of Vienna (http://tctr.univie.ac.at/).
Implementation of research projects with a focus on the synthesis and characterization of tumor-inhibiting metal compounds and their analytical investigation.
Completed diploma or master’s degree in chemistry, preferably in the field of synthetic chemistry or an equivalent qualification. Experience in the synthesis of biologically active compounds as well as in the field of analytical and preparative HPLC. Ability to work in a team, excellent command of written and spoken English.
