More research cooperation in Europe

The FWF was a founding member of Science Europe in 2011. The association brings together the expertise of some of Europe's largest and most respected research organizations, contributing to the creation of the European Research Area.

From its office in Brussels, Science Europe maintains ongoing contact with the European Commission and other European stakeholders. The member organizations develop joint positions on research policy issues relevant to their activities, such as the promotion of open access, the development of ideal conditions for international cooperation between researchers, and the discourse on scientific integrity or gender and diversity aspects.
